    • Obituary: Ailene Gulling Bishop Robert Dwyer will preside tomorrow at a requiem mass for Miss Ailene Gulling, a lifelong resident of Reno who died recently in a California hospital. The mass will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Catherdral at 9 a.m. Miss Gulling was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas choir for 50 years. She was a long-time member of St. Thomas Aquinas Altar Society and the Third Order of St. Francis. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gulling, early-day residents of Reno, Miss Gulling attended Reno schools and the University of Nevada where she was a charter memeber of Delta Rho Society, which later became Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was a talented musician and in addition to her work with the church choir often sang for community organizations on special occasions. Her family was active in St. Thomas church, and her mother was on of the founding members of St. Agnes Society. Mr. Gulling was the owner of the Verdi Lumber Company many years ago. Surviving are several cousins, including Lawrence Gulling of Reno and Mrs. Agatha McNamara, a long-time resident of Reno who now makes her home in Fresno. Miss Gulling was the niece of the late Miss Mary Gulling who was a teacher in Reno schools for many years.
