- Obituary published in The Mountain Press on 12/28/2003: Charles Rolen Charles Rolen, 67, of Sevierville, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003. He was a member of Richardson's Cove Baptist Church and was employed by the United States Postal Service in Sevierville. He was preceded in death by his father, Ora Rolen. Survivors include his wife, Grace E. Rolen; son, Carroll L. Rolen and wife Betty A. Rolen; stepgrandchildren, Scott, Rick, Mike and Jessica; stepgreat-grandchildren, Alex, Bryce, Anna, Lacey, Paige, Ashley, Stephanie and Trenton; mother, Cora Rolen; brothers, Fred Rolen and wife Margaret, David Rolen and wife Georgia, and Otha Rolen and wife Linda; and sisters, Daisy Jenkins and husband Garland, Dorothy Wyatt, Rosie Watson and husband Steve. Funeral services were held Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with the Rev. Ben Knight and the Rev. Andy Ball officiating. Family and friends will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday at Richardson's Cove Cemetery with the Rev. David Ayers officiating. The family received friends Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
