- She's found in the 1930 census in Green Creek, Sandusky County, OH: TARRIS, J. Franklin (51); wife Rose C. (42); daughters (6) and Patricia J. (3). Everyone in the household was born in Ohio, as were their parents. Frank was a contractor. Obituary published in the Clyde Enterprise on 6/18/1975 (p. 12, col. 6): Mrs. Rose Perry Tarris died early Tuesday morning, June 17, in Memorial Hospital, Fremont, following surgery last Wednesday. She has resided in the Colvin Nursing Home for the past few years. A daughter of James and Mary Perry, she was born in Vickery, March 24, 1888, and spent her entire life in Clyde and vicinity. On January 28, 1915, she married Frank Tarris. Her husband, a daughter, Patty, sisters, Grace Rathbun and Rebecca Dendinger, and a brother, Richard, preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Frances) Jefferson; granddaughters, Ann, Christine, Rachel, and Gretchen, Fremont; brothers, Roy Perry, Vickery, and Harold Perry, Newark; sisters, Helen Hutchinson, Youngstown, and Mabel Perry, Clyde; and many nephews and nieces. Mrs. Tarris was a member of the Clyde Chapter 73 OES, the First United Methodist Church, and the M & M Club. Services will be held at the Fiser Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p.m. the Rev. L. Mark George will officiate. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
