On Christmas Day, 1894, she married William Holland Landon. In the application for marriage license, Wm. Holland Landen was past 21 years of age, and "Ella Shirk" was 19. They were married by A. Ringle, JP.
When the 1900 census was taken, there was an Austin Landon (b. Mar. 1892) living with Ellen's mother in Marlboro Township, Stark County, Ohio. Austin Landon was listed as a grandchild of Jennie Johnson.
When Ellen's mother, Eugenia (Jennie) Johnson died in 1901, and her Application to Probate Will was filed, her heirs were listed as follows: Manda Vourron, daughter, Canton, O. Ellen Landon, daughter, Buffalo, N.Y. Lloyd Johnson, aged 16 years, son, Barryville, O. Harvey Johnson, aged 11 years, son, Barryville, O. Florin Johnson, aged 9 years, son, Barryville, O.
Ellen and William Landon divorced in February, 1903; grounds were desertion. She married Frank L. Clark on September 18, 1906 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
She's found in the 1910 census living on Chestnut Street in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OH: CLARK, Frank L. (33), father George W. (58), wife Helen (33), mother Eliza (57). Frank and Helen had been married 4 years; George and Eliza had been married 26 years. Helen was mother of zero children; Eliza was mother of 2, only one of which was living when this census was taken. Everyone in the house was born in Ohio; Frank and George's parents were born in Ohio; Helen's parents were born in Indiana; Eliza's father was born in New York, her mother in Ohio. Frank was a brakeman for the railroad; George was an engineer for the railroad.
When a book was published in 1914, about the Shirk Family, Ellen was mentioned, along with her parents: "Jacob was born near Louisville, Ohio, in 1852, married Miss Jennie Curtie, of French descent. To them were born three children, one boy dying in infancy; and two girls, Ella and Amanda, both married, and living in Cleveland, O."

Frank and Helen were both born in Ohio. Both his parents were born in Ohio. Helen's father was born in Indiana; her mother was born in France. Frank was a brakeman for the railroad.
When her husband Frank died in 1930, he was a widower.
On the back of a photo, Marie Vourron Murray wrote: "Aunt Hellen my mother's sister." Marie's mother was Amanda Shirk. The only sister Amanda had was "Ellen (Ella) Shirk."
